Parcel delivery compensation standard.
We will not compensate for loss, shortage, damage or delay of mail in the course of delivery for reasons other than our own. We will not be liable for indirect losses and unrealized benefits. For details, please refer to the parcel compensation standard
The following cases shall not be liable for compensation.
1、caused by force majeure (except for insured mail)
2、The items sent violate the prohibition or restriction on sending, and are confiscated by the competent authorities or dealt with in accordance with the relevant regulations.
3、The mail package is intact without any signs of dismantling at the time of delivery, and there is no reduction in weight but the inner parts are shortened or damaged.
4. If the recipient has signed for it in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
5、If the mail is lost or delayed due to the customer's responsibility or the items sent.
6、If the customer has not made any enquiry and has not requested for compensation from the date of delivery to the expiry of the enquiry period.
7. The international mail is detained, confiscated or destroyed by the country of destination according to its domestic laws.
Prohibited Items
Articles prohibited to be sent by mail
1、Items prohibited from circulation or delivery by national laws and regulations.
2、Dangerous articles such as explosive, inflammable, corrosive, radioactive and toxic
3. reactionary newspapers, books, windows or obscene articles.
4, all kinds of currency.
5. articles which are a nuisance to public health
6. perishable articles.
7. live animals (except for bees, silkworms and leeches where the packaging ensures the safety of the consignment and staff)
8. articles improperly packaged in such a way that they may endanger personal safety, contaminate or damage other mail equipment
9. other articles which are not suitable for postal conditions.
Postal practices prohibit the delivery of
1. Articles of a nature or whose packaging is suspected of injuring postal service personnel or defacing mail or postal equipment.
2. Articles with sharp edges, such as metal buttons for sealing, which may hinder the handling of mail.
3、All kinds of firearms, ammunition, explosive items, inflammable items, corrosive items, radioactive elements and containers, potent poisons, narcotic drugs, biochemical products and infectious items.
4. All kinds of publications, propaganda and printed materials that endanger social security and stability as well as obscenity.
5、All kinds of articles that are harmful to public health.
6、The other party prohibits the entry or circulation of the file or goods.
7、In addition to the general provisions mentioned above, the relevant regulations of the customs department should be complied with.
Postal regulations in Taiwan prohibit the delivery of
1、The nature of the article or its packaging is suspected of harming postal service personnel or defacing mail or postal equipment.
2、Items with sharp edges such as metal buttons for sealing, which may hinder the handling of mail.
3. Flammable, explosive or other dangerous articles. However, the institution of record is not subject to this restriction for perishable biological materials that are encapsulated in special methods for inter-mailing and for which a transport voucher has been issued by the relevant competent authorities.
4. Live animals. However, bees, silkworms, leeches, insects sent to each other by the institution of record or for the purpose of eliminating pests are not subject to this restriction.
5. Radioactive substances.
6. Opium, morphine and other narcotic substances. However, articles that have been certified by the relevant authorities as transport documents or by judicial organs or judicial police institutions for use as evidence in court proceedings, and are sent as insured or declared value parcels, or as insured parcels for medical or scientific research purposes, and are authorized by the Delivery Office, are not subject to this restriction.
7. Obscene and indecent documents or articles. However, if it is certified in writing by a judicial authority or a judicial police authority as evidence in a lawsuit, it is not subject to this restriction when sent as a registered letter or parcel.
8. Files or articles that are prohibited from being sent to the place of delivery.
9. Documents or articles whose sale or manufacture is prohibited by the competent authorities in Taiwan. However, if they are certified in writing by the judicial organs or judicial police organs as evidence for litigation purposes, they are not subject to this restriction when sent as registered letters or parcels to each other.
10. Lottery tickets and advertising leaflets relating to lotteries. However, if the judicial organ or the judicial police organ certifies in writing that they are used as evidence in the lawsuit, they shall be sent by registered letter or parcel, without this restriction.
11. Other prohibited items as stipulated by law.
