Goods purchased in China must comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and be permitted to be imported by the State. The relevant laws and regulations are as follows.
The revised List of Prohibited and Restricted Items in and out of the People's Republic of China is hereby issued and shall come into effect on 1 March 1993. The Notice of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China on the Issuance of the List of Prohibited and Restricted Items in and out of the Country issued on November 1, 1987 is hereby repealed at the same time.
List of Prohibited and Restricted Items in and out of the People's Republic of China
I. Prohibited Items
1. weapons of all kinds, imitation weapons, ammunition and explosive articles
2、Counterfeit currency and counterfeit securities.
3. printed materials, films, photographs, records, movies, audio tapes, video tapes, laser discs, computer storage media and other items harmful to China's politics, economy, culture and morality
4. all kinds of potent poisons.
5. opium, morphine, heroin, cannabis and other narcotics and psychotropic substances capable of causing addiction
6. animals, plants and their products with dangerous germs, pests and other harmful organisms
7. Food, medicine or other articles that are harmful to human and animal health, come from infected areas or are capable of spreading diseases.
B. Prohibited articles
1、All articles included in the scope of prohibition of entry into the country.
2. Manuscripts, printed materials, films, photographs, records, films, audio tapes, video tapes, laser disks, computer storage media and other items whose contents are related to state secrets.
3. precious cultural relics and other literatures prohibited from leaving the country.
